FINANCIAL MANAGER

Job Summary

Our multinational firm is seeking an experienced and professional Finance Manager to join our team. This position will play a key role in the organization’s funding strategy and long-term financial security. The Finance Manager will collaborate with the executive management team to analyze department finances and develop budgets that will keep the company’s costs down. We are looking for an experienced Financial Manager to plan and supervise the accounting, reporting, control, and compliance process and is also responsible for managing financial and operational performance.

The person hired for the position must have the minimum of related experience, strong analytical skills and financial knowledge with demonstrated ability to translate concepts into actions and results, the ability to influence others at all levels of the organization and comfort in challenging the status quo with a view towards continuous improvement and proven ability to drive process improvements through the business.

 

Key Accountabilities include:

• Support and develop annual plan, periodic forecasts, cost initiatives and impacts on other businesses;
• Implement and support processes, systems to improve financial performance (e.g. reporting pipeline);
• Support contract compliance for Procurement, including audits.

 

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of advanced financial analyses to determine present and forecasted financial health of the company;
• Use financial modeling to simulate financial scenarios and present potential scenarios and outcomes to management team;
• Manage the preparation and publication of departmental and organization financial documents
• Collaborate with management on development and execution of funding strategies;
• Examine financial and legal documents to verify accuracy and adherence to financial regulations and acceptable financial principles;
• Develop or recommend solutions for problems or situations;
• Provide full support including financial reviews, planning, and analysis for the functions.
• Lead work and relationships with partners, government and financial institutions.
• Act as the Ethics and Compliance Liaison for functions.
• Provides Finance leadership and support for security issues and fraud investigations as well as Responsible Individual (RI) for business related investigations.
• Build a long lasting, empowered and motivated team that shares best practices.
• Lead the people agenda, facilitate the development of the team to ensure the team capability is commensurate with quality and timely deliverables and appraise the CFO about the wider organization capability in terms of internal control/integrity and financial accounting.

 

Requirements:

• BS and/or accounting designation (i.e., CPA) required. Advanced degree (i.e., MBA) a plus;
• Minimum  of 5 years of appropriate experience;
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required;
• Interest and experience in financial modeling & analysis; must have strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) demonstrating the ability to effectively summarize information into clear, concise and insightful updates;
• Strategic thinker;
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize / manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a time sensitive environment.
