The position of Presales Specialist is to support the presales function and business development in Salience on a global level and provide support with the preparation of consultancy proposals for different clients in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. The role will require a proactive approach to the identification of new sales opportunities. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and following deadlines are also requirements for the role.

Main responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Commercial Lead and support the development of consultancy proposals and tenders (EOIs, RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs) for new projects in telecom infrastructure, regulatory, tower infrastructure, subsea cables, digital assessment, digital transformation, and other telecom fields, for clients such as The World Bank, EBRD, telecom regulators, government ministries, telecom operators and investors  

  • Provide inputs for the proposals by performing research activities through gathering intelligence and data on a particular market, industry, product, country parameters, technology development, and different other data inputs required for potential opportunities.

  • Identify new sales opportunities and track the updates on the submitted proposals

  • Work closely with telecom experts and secure the necessary inputs for the proposals

  • Support the recruitment function of key telecom experts

  • Search and secure partner companies for different project opportunities

  • Perform research activities by gathering intelligence and data on a particular market, industries, products, country parameters, technology development, and different other data inputs required for potential opportunities.

  • Develop and present business solutions and business development processes

  • Contribute to the production of business collateral including white papers and client presentations.

  • Have a flexible approach to work and travel; be able to manage time effectively and demonstrate high personal standards and attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of professional experience and at least 2 years of experience in presales and preparation of proposals and tenders

  • Economics or technical graduate with good communications skills. A relevant MSc degree or MBA is a plus.

  • High level of analytical thinking, be able to understand, document, and explain all levels - from conceptual solutions to detailed data flows.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines 

  • Ability to apply proactive creative thinking and derive solutions independent of direct supervision.

  • Comfortable presenting ideas and solutions to clients or internally.

  • Experienced with tools such as MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel 

  • Knowledge and/or experience in management consulting or the telecom industry is not essential but preferred.

  • Willingness to learn and develop, expanding skillset to include project management and/or telecom technical skills.
