To expand Design Minds team, we are looking for two product engineers.
The new members are going to work for our Belgium client Lambrecht Trailers and you as engineer will be responsible for converting the customer's specific request into a design and following up the project from A to Z.
Lambrecht Trailers designs and builds bulk tanks for the transport of various dry bulk products. These are virtually all granules and/or powders such as animal feed, grains, flour, seeds, kernels, potato flakes, sugar, soya, salts and premixes. And furthermore, various pellets, such as animal feed pellets, wood pellets…etc. In addition, their range also includes semi-trailers for the transport of slurry and liquid waste. For 50 years, their family business has had the drive to translate know-how into a high-quality vehicle, a bulk truck completely at customer request.
You are going to be very important link to the construction. Your drawings form the basis for the production from needle to thread, or should we say here from the flat plate to the glossy, perfectly finished bulk truck that drives from our parking lot.
At the start-up you will end up in the R&D department, a small, close-knit team that will teach you the tricks of the trade step by step. Depending on your interest, you choose which direction you want to go. Purely technical? Are you bitten by the “innovation microbe” so that you can formulate proposals for improving the product and process yourself?
The ideal candidate should have at least BSc in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 3 year of experience in adequate environment.
Our expectations and your main responsibilities include:
- Detailed analyzing of assigned problems and giving proposal solutions.
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software, conceptualize mechanical parts.
- Ability to work with complex large assemblies and configuration management.
- Preparation of 2D technical drawings.
- Advantage in knowledge in analysis and simulation using Finite element method (FEA).
- Active usage of SolidWorks, or another similar CAD environment
- Experience with Public Data Management (PDM)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
- Working with agile methodology (SCRUM).
- Ability to work independently.
- Willingness to learn new technologies.
- An open, honest, and team-oriented personality.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Willingness to travel to customer offices in Belgium.
