Youth Development Advisor
CEE/CIS/Middle East (EUCM) (f/m)
Location –Skopie, North Macedonia
Full time, one-year contract with possibility of extension
Responsibilities:
- Support SOS Member Associations in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of YouthCan! Project (youth employability project implemented together with corporate partners)
- Contribute into screening/prioritisation of Institutional partnership development (IPD) projects on youth employability
- Consult assigned MAs in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of IPD projects on youth employability (national and regional)
- Contribute into developing regional trends on youth employability and into the process of knowledge sharing on youth employability in the region
- Work on leaving care and youth participation issues, as assigned by the regional content leads on alternative care and youth participation
- Conduct capacity building activities related to youth employability, leaving care and youth participation as assigned by respective content leads
- Contribute to the development of organisational policies and guidelines
Requirements:
- University degree in social sciences, social work or psychology
- Good knowledge of youth employment/self-employment trends, existing challenges and strategies to tackle them
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position involving implementation of youth development, employability and participation policies and practices in alternative child care and prevention projects, desirable related to the leaving care process
- Proven track record of project management and experience in leading roles or ownership of projects/processes
- Experience in conducting training, workshops and other capacity building activities of staff in the area of youth development, youth employability, participation and leaving care
- Strong analytical and networking skills
- Relevant work experience in INGOs or international organizations is a plus
- Ability to work independently
- Fluent in written and spoken English. In addition, knowledge of Russian is preferred
- Readiness to travel at least 30% of working time
