The Role

We are looking for an experienced HR professional to join our HR team in Skopje, North Macedonia and be a part of the local Management Team.  This individual will partner closely with the Head of HR based in London on leading the Group’s HR strategy and taking the lead on execution of this strategy in the Skopje office, covering all areas of HR including talent management, learning and development, employee engagement, and compensation & benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in formulating and executing the HR strategy across the Skopje office to support our overall business plan
  • Manage and develop recruitment processes for the entire business identifying the best and lowest cost sources for recruiting talent
  • Work in partnership with the leadership team to develop and drive engagement whilst building and developing management capability for managing employee relations
  • Ownership of strategic projects, which could include employee engagement, career development, HRIS, reward & recognition
  • Plan staff entertainment within acceptable budgets to help maintain high morale
  • Ensure all local employment compliance requirements are understood and met
  • Ensure all employee-related legal and administrative tasks are managed effectively such as employment contracts and payroll

Essential Skills & Experience 

  • Minimum of 5 years HR experience
  • Recruitment experience also preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish credibility with colleagues and senior stakeholders
  • Good command of English language, both spoken and written
  • Good conflict management skills and the ability to manage competing interests to keep everyone happy
  • Ability to evaluate situations, balance risk and make quick and effective decisions
  • Good knowledge of local employment and labour laws and regulations
