JOB SUMMARY:

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the overall power network within the camp, if there is public power supply, he/she checks the voltage and connection with the camp utilities and facilities,  as well as, if no public supply than he/she makes sure that generators are fully functioning.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The engineer ensures installment of the power network in the camp
• Plan and supervise preventive maintenance tasks
• Supervises teams of technicians in charge for the mechanical and electrical wellbeing of the generators
• Ensure that there is always appropriate quantity of spare parts and tools for the maintenance teams in stock.
• Regular check of safety devices for function
• Elimination of damage and malfunctions
• Makes sure that all safety at work measurements, are in place and implemented.
• Reads and reports working hours of the generators, and make sure that regular checkups and maintenance are done.
• Representation of the company at the customer
• Identification and preparation of claims and their follow up.

Qualification:

• University degree in electrical engineering
• At least 5 years’ experience in the respective field/camp facilities management
• Understand and adopting of US and European electrical standards
• Fluent in English language, other languages would be an advantage
• Certificate of any power generator manufactures would be an asset
• Good knowledge of MS Office, MS Project and the internet
• Must possess intercultural skills and demonstrate ability to effectively work with all levels of company personnel and external clients
• Willing to work in crisis areas
