Insurance Assistant

 

Type of position: Full-time,

This is a “Work from Office” position - 2nd shift.

Position summary: Assist Producer(s) with the processing of new business and renewals, quoting, processing endorsements, light accounting functions, premium finance contracts and provides assistance to customers for billing, claims and policy changes.

General purpose: Customer service for USA market

Position responsibilities:

·        Provide timely and accurate information to customers on Agency’s products and services

·        Present information to customers accurately, efficiently and document information in a clear, concise manner

·        Resolve customer complaints when feasible or escalate the process to the appropriate Department Manager or Producer(s)

·        Ensure accurate database input and capture

·        Create and maintain historical policy spreadsheets for current clients

·        Process endorsements in accordance with set guidelines and procedures

·        Quote, issue and maintain primary and non-trucking insurance as well as occupational accident policies and other types of trucking policies

·        Gather and analyze account information (loss information, driver information, financials, loss control reports, etc.) for new business and renewal accounts

·        Answer office phones as necessary

·        Perform other related duties as assigned

Essential skills and experience:

·        Excellent English (written and communication) skills

·        Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

·        Strong ability to problem solve

·        Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities

·        Detail oriented

·        Strong customer orientation

Preferred experience:

·        Knowledge of insurance and transportation industry is preferred but not required
