Production Planning Engineer

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline,
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in production planning, preferably in the automotive, white goods, or metal manufacturing industries,
• Preferably experienced in team leadership and people management,
• Good command of English; knowledge of Turkish is preferred,
• Knowledge and experience in MRP/ERP systems, preferably SAP,
• Proficient in MS Office applications, with advanced Excel skills,
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities,
• Excellent planning, organizational, and coordination skills,
• Detail-oriented, systematic, and results-driven with strong follow-up skills,
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment,
• Able to adapt to a fast-paced working environment,
• Willing to participate in a 2 to 6-month training program at our production facility in Turkey as part of the onboarding process.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Prepare short-, medium-, and long-term production plans based on customer orders,
• Develop Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and monitor the procurement process for critical materials,
• Create, release, and monitor production orders to ensure timely execution,
• Perform production capacity planning and implement initiatives to optimize capacity utilization,
• Monitor the efficiency and performance of production lines and develop improvement recommendations,
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules and ensure effective coordination with relevant departments,
• Monitor production processes in line with the production plan and take corrective actions in case of deviations,
• Coordinate production and shipping activities to ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time,
• Work closely with relevant departments to ensure shipment schedules are executed as planned,
• Monitor, analyze, and report key planning performance indicators on a regular basis,
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of production planning processes.
