Cylindo | Part of Chaos is looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our finance team as a Junior Accounts Receivable (AR) and Cash Posting Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately processing and reconciling incoming payments, managing accounts receivable, and ensuring timely and accurate cash application. Your primary objective will be to support the financial operations of the company by maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with cash flow management.

Main responsibilities:

• Process and post incoming customer payments accurately and timely into the accounting system.

• Reconcile payments received with customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies.

• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up with customers for outstanding payments.

• Collaborate with the sales team and customer service representatives to resolve payment-related inquiries or disputes.

• Prepare and distribute customer account statements and invoices as needed.

• Assist in the collection efforts by sending payment reminders and initiating collection calls or emails.

• Review and analyze customer payment trends, identify potential issues, and provide recommendations for improvement.

• Maintain accurate records of all cash receipts and related transactions.

• Generate regular reports on accounts receivable, cash receipts, and aging for management review.

• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing account reconciliations and assisting with financial reporting requirements.

• Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to accounts receivable and cash posting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

• Minimum 1 year working experience (preferable in the field of accounts receivable, cash posting, or a similar finance role is an advantage.)

• Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.

• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data, identify trends, and propose solutions.

• Knowledge of accounting principles and familiarity with accounts receivable processes.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling financial information.
