Position

We are looking for a Product Owner based in Macedonia. You are a product leader who is accountable for the business outcome of your product. The main focus of a Product Owner is building a product that meets market needs. You are empowered to make decisions around business capabilities that need to be built into the product. You ensure that the teams focus on outcome over output.

Key responsibilities:

  • Defining & Measuring Success: Establish success measures which track progress towards aligned business goals, and key delivery milestones.
  • Prioritisation: determine what must be done now vs what can be done later, based on requirements and with the objective of delivering the maximum business value in the least amount of time.
  • Synthesis: Receives inputs on product direction from multiple sources (internal and external), and sets an aligned product direction, to help with prioritisation.
  • Product Release Management: plan for and manage a holistic product release; that targets the required user/customer segments, supports the aligned marketing plan, and informs setup of product operations and customer support.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with the various product stakeholders (delivery teams, product managers, sales and marketing) to build relationships and feedback channels to contribute towards success of the product.
  • Business Vision to Execution: elicits, understands, and communicates business vision as well as breaking the vision into executable goals, that can be met in an incremental and iterative manner.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Supports the Product Manager and Marketing teams in the analysis of the competitive landscape, identifying and understanding trends in the market, competitors, analysing their strengths and weaknesses, and uncovering how our business can improve upon this competition.
  • Requirements Analysis & Articulation: uses relevant artifacts, approaches and processes to understand and communicate to what is required and why it is required.
  • Business Value Articulation: identify, capture, and understand the work and activities being done, relative to and in the context of the business value created.
  • Scope Management: Embrace flexibility in requirements change to maximise the stakeholder value whilst balancing management of delivery and expectations of required objectives within a defined timeframe. Understanding which scope management techniques to employ based on the impact of the change. Establish a strong partnership with Project Manager and Tech Lead to ensure effective prioritization that balances business value, quality and other constraints.
  • Facilitation: steer team and stakeholders to work well, both in defining a common vision, making decisions, achieving their goals and creating a relational climate where trust prevails and communication is fluid, empathic and honest.
  • Collaboration: works jointly with others to co-create and achieve a common goal. This includes learning, practising and experimenting with tools, techniques and frameworks that foster collaborative working environments.

Requirements

Key skills and attributes of the Product Owner:

  • 3+ years of experience working in any software development team role
  • 2+ Product Owner/Manager experience
  • Experience working with agile delivery methods
  • Experience working with a cross-functional software development team.

  • Build a Product that meets the needs of the markets identified by the Business/Organization
  • Collaboratively building a product vision with stakeholders across organization (Delivery teams, Sales, Marketing, Product Managers)
  • Communicates a shared product vision, and the product development strategy to get there
  • Brings in external research, competitors and experiments to validate what good looks like for the product direction
  • Uses customer and business data, product frameworks, and measures of success to inform Product Development decisions
  • Gains buy-in and support from product stakeholders across the organizatio
