UNICEF North Macedonia is looking for Finance & Accounts Associate, GS6, FT.

Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the Finance and Accounts Associate supports the overall and smooth functioning of the Operations section. 

The Finance and Accounts Associate will be responsible for providing a variety of specialized tasks in finance and accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely delivery that is in compliance with UNICEF financial and accounting rules and regulations, whilst demonstrating the capacity to research, adapt and evaluate irregular cases, and also to recommend improvements to process delivery and design.

Secondary Education is required for the post; a University degree or specialized training in the area will be considered an asset. Hands-on experience in working with SAP ERP application as well as prior experience in HACT framework and partnership cooperation, is highly desirable.

Six years of progressively responsible professional work experience in finance, accounts, partnership cooperation and budget monitoring.

Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency is considered an asset.

Fluency in English and in the local languages of the duty station is required Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
