As ONE Macedonia continues to establish and expand its local operations, we are looking for an experienced HR Expert who will play a key role in building the company's people function from the ground up.
This is a unique opportunity to join a greenfield operation, where you will shape HR processes, establish company culture, and support the organization's rapid growth.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the HR Expert, you will be the local HR lead, responsible for the full employee lifecycle while acting as a trusted business partner to both local leadership and Group HR. This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic thinking and operational execution across all HR activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead end-to-end recruitment activities in cooperation with external recruitment partners.
- Support hiring managers throughout the selection process and ensure a positive candidate experience.
- Develop employer branding initiatives and represent the company at recruitment events and job fairs.
- Coordinate onboarding activities and ensure smooth integration of new employees.
- Ensure compliance with local labor legislation, employment contracts, HR policies, and internal procedures.
- Prepare and maintain HR documentation, employee handbook, and company policies.
- Coordinate mandatory employee certifications and legal HR requirements.
- Manage employee relations, provide HR guidance, and support conflict resolution.
- Build strong partnerships with managers and employees while collaborating closely with Group HR.
- Monitor recruitment metrics and labor market trends to continuously improve HR practices.
- Contribute to building a positive company culture that supports business growth.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR Manager role with broad HR responsibilities.
- Previous experience in a startup, technology, telecommunications, or other fast-growing business environment is considered a strong advantage.
- Excellent knowledge of North Macedonian labor legislation and HR best practices.
- Strong recruitment, stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and build HR processes from scratch.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to balance strategic initiatives and operational HR activities.
- Fluent Macedonian and excellent English communication skills.
