JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a person who will actively participate in a software development process, specifically in finding and resolving technical problems with drafting an appropriate technical documentation. The junior quality and support engineer will develop use-cases and test scenarios, perform functional and automated software tests, document and refine formal test processes, build automated testing infrastructure and automate selective tests for sophisticated client-server applications. The candidate will also perform load / performance tests on software solutions to ensure quality at a higher level.

This person will participate in the preparation of specific projects with special emphasis on upholding the quality and timelines of the project and will participate in all project phases including planning, preparation, stabilization and first line of support of all the solutions. Additionally, the engineer will work on developing processes and scripts for deploying and installing application solutions.

According to quality responsibility, the engineer will directly cooperate with software development engineers, end users and business analysts. It is expected from the candidate to participate in sessions for knowledge sharing, optimization and improvement of the performance.

• Knowledge of methodologies and testing techniques
• Knowledge of the software development process
• Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
• Working with databases and data manipulation
• Working with Unified Modeling Language
• Working with HTML5 / CSS3 / JavaScript
• Experience with one or more programming languages: C#, scripts batch, Shell script
• Knowledge of communication protocols: http/https, telnet, ssh, snmp
• Working with Visual Studio
• Adaptable technical knowledge and ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Development of general and detailed specifications for design of tests

TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promoting quality within the organization
• Interaction with business analysts to remove the problems discovered before starting a process of implementation of software solutions
• Development of detailed test plans and user scenarios based on project requirements
• Writing validation procedures
• Installation, configuration and management of software testing platforms
• Installation and configuration of application platforms and services
• Interaction with software development engineers to troubleshoot problems discovered during the testing process
• Planning, performing functional, automated, security, performance, and regression tests on web and mobile applications
• Validation of new versions
• Creating deploy scripts for installation
• Finding and analyzing logs with errors
• Writing User and System instructions and guides
• Collaboration as first line of support for projects in production

SKILLS WHO ARE ESTABLISHED AS ADVANTAGES

• Working with Microsoft Test Manager (or similar tool)
• Working with Team Foundation Server (or similar tool)
