Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience as a key contributor focused on DOT/FMCSA compliance in the transportation industry In USA
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Experience managing driver qualification file requirements including MVRs, controlled substances, and alcohol testing
• Experience creating training and development programs for operations and support leaders
• Must be able to understand and effectively communicate in English (both orally and in writing)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel

Responsibilities:

You will be tasked with ensuring the drivers and assets of our enterprise fleet meet and exceed regulatory compliance requirements set forth by the Department of Transportation, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Alliance, and local/state authorities

• Develop, implement, and maintain a sustainable CSA/DOT compliance program
• Develop processes that simplify the procurement of required driver/vehicle documentation
• Work with third party providers to streamline processes, eliminate error, monitor performance, and identify exceptions
• Create, update, and distribute reporting to varying levels of management
• Work with enterprise leaders to develop division specific Compliance Improvement Plans
• Perform DOT Compliance training/education in field and office environments
• Conduct practical driver/vehicle inspections (gate checks)
• Conduct company mock CSA/DOT compliance audits to maintain audit readiness
• Acquire, maintain, store and purge (as applicable) DOT required documentation per recordkeeping requirements
• Create and manage processes that facilitate document retrieval from the field into an organized file system or image repository
• Identify and address gaps/exceptions related to compliance; propose plans to address
• Oversight of IFTA/IRP account management
• Manage Data Q process and internal reporting as required
• Maintain Company’s Satisfactory rating with the FMCSA
• Travel up to 50% based on operational objectives and areas of focus
