qBit Solutions is an IT company with headquarters in Skopje, Macedonia. Founded in 2015, qBit Solutions has been offering its services to clients all around the world. Our primary focus is development and maintenance of modern intuitive IT solutions with an emphasis on performance, security and protecting the privacy of end users by providing low level hosting infrastructure and leveraging on cutting edge technologies like AI & blockchain. Currently we are in process of expanding our team.

THE POSITION

We are looking for a Senior Blockchain Engineer that will be responsible for maintaining current and developing new Ethereum smart contracts, and will work with developers to implement new features and test out-of-the box technologies for viability. 

 

REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years working with back-end/databases.
• 1+ years of experience working in blockchain-related fields preferably Ethereum.
• 1+ years of experience developing with Solidity, preferably Ethereum smart contracts.
• Strong knowledge of concurrency, and experience writing efficient and safe multithreaded code.
• Familiarity with cryptography.
• Familiarity with P2P networks.
• Competent with revision control systems (Git).
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.
• Passionate about writing beautiful and clean code.
• Experience in Scrum concepts and/or CI/CD tools to get your projects to production is a plus.​

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leading the development of smart contracts and the performance of blockchain integration with existing applications.
• Build high-quality software in Solidity on a daily basis. Make the crypto software usable and simple for non-savvy users, writing clean, semantic code.
• Collaborate & educate clients and internal development teams on the blockchain-related elements of the stack. Blockchain is new. We all need to learn.
• Research and test new technologies to use for the current project, stay curious and learn constantly. Grow as an engineer.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.
• Provide solutions or alternatives to tough problems.
• Able to work independently but understands when to involve others and when to ask for senior support.

LOCATION

Our new office in Skopje is located in the KUBUS business center at the intersection of the “Saint Clement of Ohrid” church. There is a city bus stop located couple of steps away from the office entrance which offers easy access to route through the town by using public transportation. For all sporting and “healthy lifestyle” enthusiasts there is a bike lane in front of the office building that connects with multiple major bike lanes throughout the city. In addition, the office is also located on the beginning of “Debar Maalo”, one of the most attractive neighborhoods in Skopje which offers a great variety of cafes and restaurants ideal for brunch and after work meetings. Within walking distance there are also several other IT companies, startups, hacklabs making it a central hub for innovative minds.
