The Pharmacist in Production coordinates and controls production activities and implements production plans and targets in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
Responsibilities
- Implements operational manuals, production plans, and programs;
- Ensures compliance of production processes with organizational goals and policies in coordination with the Production Manager;
- Operates production machinery in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
- Verifies the availability of appropriate raw materials and packaging materials, equipment, filters, and machine parts;
- Meets monthly and weekly production plans according to the schedule in coordination with the Production Manager;
- Monitors pharmaceutical production activities in accordance with cGMP requirements;
- Ensures that standard production yields are maintained on production lines;
- Controls production processes and production capacities;
- Is generally responsible for hygiene and sanitary conditions in production areas;
- Ensures that all production equipment is properly maintained and in good condition;
- Assists in initial research for products in the development phase;
- Promotes discipline and a positive work culture among personnel;
- Ensures that appropriate training is provided to other employees in production;
- Ensures proper hygiene conditions for production personnel;
- Ensures that personnel wear masks, gloves, and appropriate footwear before entering production areas;
- Prepares daily reports;
- Performs other duties assigned by the Production Manager;
- Is responsible for any delays in daily and weekly work schedules;
- Decides whether to reject or use, through sorting, unsuitable raw materials and packaging materials identified during the production process after consultation with the Production Manager;
- Decides on staff allocation in case of workload shortages or when priorities need to be set;
- Is responsible for planning work according to the weekly schedule;
- Supervises the duties of subordinates, operators, and other workers;
- Is responsible for materials issued from the warehouse for production;
- Maintains confidentiality and protects the interests of the company.
Qualifications
- University degree in Pharmacy;
- Experience in method validation, GMP compliance, and SOP development is preferred;
- Proven ability to organize and prioritize work for greater efficiency;
- Strong attention to detail in performing tasks;
- Ability to work with Microsoft Office applications.
