Logistics Assistant

Working under the direction of the Training Manager, the PST Logistics Assistant is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and logistical support during the Peace Corps Pre-Service Training (PST). The Logistics Assistant will be based at the Peace Corps Macedonia office in Skopje work closely with the Programming and Training Assistant, Program Managers, and others to ensure that PST staff and American trainees are supported during all stages of PST, including the Training of Trainers (ToT) for PST staff, Orientation Week, and the 11-week Pre-Service Training.

The Logistics Assistant will have a variety of responsibilities, including managing training facilities and staff housing, transportation needs, supplies/equipment, correspondence, and scheduling/reports. This position involves frequent travel to various communities around Macedonia and may require weekend/evening work.

  • University degree in any field and minimum one year work experience;
  • Fluency in written and spoken Macedonian and English. Albanian is a plus;
  • Experience in event planning, budgeting, and/or logistics
  • Ability to perform administrative responsibilities efficiently and in compliance with Peace Corps and relevant regulations;
    • Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision;
  • Ability to work within a cross-cultural team which includes American staff;
  • Prior experience working with Americans and/or experience living abroad preferred;
  • Strong communication and organizational skills;
  • Excellent computer skills;
