The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the drivers of our fleet during evening, overnight, and weekend hours. This role is crucial to ensuring our operations run smoothly outside of regular business hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage the dispatch of trucks and drivers during after-hours.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues promptly.
- Track and update shipment statuses, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Address and troubleshoot any logistical or operational problems that arise.
- Maintain detailed records of all dispatch activities and communications.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to our clients and partners.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in dispatching, preferably in the trucking or transportation industry.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and make quick decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in dispatch software.
- Flexibility to work evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.
