Responsibilities:

• Provide operational expertise with Web, OS (Linux, UNIX, Windows), and DB (Oracle, MS SQL), VMware, AWS cloud, Automation platforms and Application Monitoring
• Troubleshooting and providing solutions for customer issues
• Problem & Incident Management
• Proactively detect problems related to service and infrastructure operations
• Write comprehensive documentation by using of standard tools, SharePoint and Confluence
• Working with development teams ensure functionality deployments are completed without incident and with adherence to proper procedure
• Identify opportunities for application tuning
• Ensure regular follow-ups and timely escalations
• Developing relationships with customers internal product teams to aid incident and problem resolution.
• Performing analyses on software application functionality and suggesting improvements
• Ensure proper utilization of the resources in the team
• Client-driven approach & service oriented

Tech skillset:

• Experience working on App & Web servers like NGINX, Apache, Wildly, WebLogic, IIS etc.

• Experience in any Scripting (Shell, PERL, Batch, VBScript or PowerShell ) and/or Unix Shell Scripting – ksh, perl, bash
• Experience with containers and AWS platform will be considered as an advantage.
• Good understanding of basic of network products and protocols including TCP/IP, Firewalls, DNS
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot technical problems
• Experience in development of web applications would be considered as advantage
• Experience with JIRA tool

Soft skillset:

• Articulate, independent and detail oriented
• Being a strong team player
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Process, tools and service level improvement experience
• Good organizational skills, inclusive of issue tracking, metric reporting
• Experience in mentoring and people management practice

Work Experience:

• At least 5+ years experience in applications support related role (DevOps roles or Developers roles)

 

Job requirements:

• Proficiency in spoken and written English language
• Completion of ITIL Foundation certification would be considered as advantage
