Senior Software Quality Engineer

Job Description

• Lead functional, black box testing efforts and other types of testing as needed.
• Create or contribute to the creation of verification and validation test plans.
• Responsible for creating detailed test cases for planned changes to verify that the requirements are captured and implemented correctly with the Business Analyst or Product Owner.
• Responsible for verifying that test protocols/test cases are written completely and concisely, and for the creation of test reports, test summaries, trace matrices and other relevant reporting.
• Perform functional, usability, security, network, compatibility and regression testing.
• Works with the development team to identify, analyze and resolve defects.
• Responsible for actively using project-related tools such as: JIRA, Confluence, Matrix Requirements, test case management systems, source control systems, and related technologies.
• Responsible for working as a member of an Agile Scrum team delivering high quality software in two week sprints.

Skills

• Strong experience with functional, black-box testing.
• Experience with automation script creation is a plus.
• Experience with SQL a plus
• Experience working with global remote teams preferred. 
• Mobile and Cloud testing experience preferred.
• Good communications and documentation skills, including experience in writing SOPs, work instructions, training and other relevant documentation.
• Must work well in a team environment, be highly motivated, and willing to learn new skills. 
• Leadership skills required; ability to prioritize tasks; level of understanding to pace work completion to the needs of the company.
• WECARE – BioTelemetry based customer centric program

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree required; CS or engineering focus preferre

Prior Experiance

• 4+ years’ software testing experience in a team environment
• Familiarity with API services a plus
• ISTQB Certification a plus
