Senior Network Engineer
Job description:
- Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks.
- Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including firewalls, routers, switches, SD-WAN solutions, DNS and DHCP.
- Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Arranging scheduled upgrades and investigating faults in the network.
- Reporting network status to supervisors and customer management.
- Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security.
- Maintaining and improving support information and documentation.
- Supporting the Sales team in the process of presales by providing key expert technical knowhow
- Knowledge of configuring advanced cybersecurity solutions: WAF, ADC, Email Gateways, SIEM, SOAR, EDR, AI driven cybersecurity
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum 4 years of work experience with network engineering
- Deep understanding of network designs and operations
- Excellent knowledge of English and MS Office
- Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and VRF
- Experience with Virtual Private Networks (SSL VPN, IPSec, Client based)
- Solid knowledge in switching fundamentals such as Ethernet, VLANs, STP, HSRP, VoIP, and SIP
- Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks and HPE Networking equipment
- Experience building distributed systems and highly available services and using network diagnosis and packet analysis tools
- Experience with SDWAN will be considered a plus
