We're looking for an experienced 2nd Line Network Engineer in Skopje!

Our client is one of the fastest growing Service Providers in the United Kingdom! We are on the hunt for the best of the best network engineering professionals to support their national expanding network infrastructure based across multiple geographically distributed data centers and exchanges around the country. Does it sound exciting? Trust us it is. In this role you will act as the more experienced engineer capable to solve the highly complicated network issues which clients will need help with.

Reporting to the Team Leader and Service Desk manager and closely working with both 3rd Line Engineers and the network Architects, you will gain valuable and unmatchable experience and knowledge! This is one of the most critical positions in the company and you must be able to work independently and provide creative and accurate solutions to network problems.

In this role you would:

• Be provided the chance to grow by the company paying for professional training and exams. You will have the choice to choose your path. Do you want to focus on Firewalls? Virtual machines? It’s your choice
• Day-to-day operational support of network infrastructure and services maintaining, highly-available, high performance data centre network infrastructure involving multiple types of devices
• Specific responsibilities include configuration, administration and maintenance of network switches, routers, firewalls and other networking devices
• Troubleshoot technical issues together with more experienced engineers
• Monitor, manage and implement network security, traffic, and performance
• Develop accurate process documentation
• Share your knowledge with your coworkers and give the term teamwork a new meaning

You’ve Got What It Takes If You Have:

• Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline with an IT focus is preferred or equivalent by experience
• Experience in support environment will be considered a plus
• Solid knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP protocols, IP Addressing (DHCP, NAT, etc...), MPLS, VPN, VLANs, Load Balancing, and Redundancy protocols
• Proven experience in delivering network services and solutions in a modern network environment
• CCNP certification will be considered an advantage
• Working knowledge of BGP routing protocol and VoIP technologies
• Experience with Firewalls will be considered a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Dependable, flexible and team player
• Deep analytical and problem solving skills
