DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The APM/ submittal coordinator will work with our sub-contractors and in house managerial staff to perform the following:
- Read blueprints and take off counts for all projects in progress as needed
- Create submittal packages for all projects in progress
- Initiate change order submittal packages for projects in progress
- Create RFI's (request for information) regarding any missing information
- Enter approvals for change orders
- Create resubmittals for incoming "revise and resubmit" submissions
- Run open requisition spreadsheets and contact sub-contractors and or the design team to address any open submittals and RFI's
- Work off of spreadsheets to notify sub-contractors and or the design team of long lead time items
- Create new submittals if long lead item does not fit with job schedule
- Review daily and weekly change order reports to create change order submittal packages
- Request quotes and submittals from vendors
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of a College Degree Diploma in Construction management or Architecture
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Must be a self-starter, pay attention to detail, and utilize effective organizational skills including the ability to multitask and complete tasks quickly and efficiently
- Intermediate in Microsoft Excel (i.e. sorting, filtering, pivot tables etc.), Microsoft Outlook, and the internet
- Must be able to display effective problem solving techniques and have the ability to remain calm in a high-volume and demanding environment
- Ability to read submittals is required
- Relevant construction/mechanical and/or trade experience is required
Salary: depends on experience and knowledge
