Agile Pro Solutions (APS), headquartered in the USA, is currently growing its team in Skopje.

For the needs of our Client in the USA, we are recruiting dynamic and motivated Bid Estimator (Construction industry).

The Bid Estimator is a critical position that works closely with the Senior Estimator/Project Manager in creating comprehensive bid proposals, will assist in evaluating bid specifications and drawings as directed by the Senior Estimator and provide detailed information to turn projects over to project management.

The Bid Estimator will continually improve his/her ability to analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation needed in the preparation of time, cost analysis, and labor estimates. This position offers the Estimator the opportunity to gain experience working with Contractors, Subcontractors and Suppliers and in determining the scope of work and costs for awarded projects.

Working hours: Monday – Friday: 5pm - 1am (17:00 – 01:00); on-site only in Skopje

Responsibilities:

• Solicits and maintains communication with general contractors, commercial property owners, and vendors
• Ensures that we have the proper coverage from staff on bid day
• Shows creativity and resourcefulness to gain better pricing from vendors
• Submits 100% of Requests for information (RFI) and bids by the bid deadline – no exceptions
• Enters all relevant information into project spreadsheets/project estimating software
• Review bid requirements thoroughly and ask follow-up question on every bid
• Has a thorough understanding of the scope of the project
• Develops RFI's and clarifications and ensure adequate project coverage and shows interest
• Performs a comprehensive "bid day" analysis
• Understands how we fit into the size/scope of project
• Minimize exclusions by “doing our homework”
• Identify unique project conditions that will create challenges in constructability and safety
• Consistently follows up on submitted bids to close business
• Identifies and offers value added/value engineering options to contractor
• Maintain client relationships to maximize leads and close sales
• Review and negotiate contract scope exhibits to ensure consistency with proposals and exclusions.
• Properly turn over bid documents to Project Management team in a timely manner, with a goal of 100% of awarded project turned over within 1 week of notification of award.
• Review drawings with Project Management team and highlight areas of concern
• Review job cost/budget with Project Management team and highlight any material/equipment vendors which may still need to be awarded
• Complete subcontract checklist form to ensure compliance
• Identify creative ways to deliver additional profit

Requirements

• 3+ years of Construction Estimating
• Joint Sealant and Waterproofing Solutions for the Commercial Construction Sector Experience Preferred
• Experience with US Based Construction Projects is Advantage
• Experience with EU Based Construction Projects is Preferred
• Experience with specification books is a must
• Quick Bid and Bluebeam software is Preferred
• Proficiency in the English language (written and spoken)
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
• Develop and cultivate relationships with clients, vendors, customers and employees
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
