MediaTech Support company offers support and multimedia services to independent editorial teams working for the world's leading English-language media.

Located in Skopje, Macedonia, we already have an established relationship with our clients who are engaged in generating independent news for international publications.

We offer multimedia services and content ranging from pictures and video through to news items. We also offer related services such as IT support, cuttings and graphic design.

We have a team of qualified professionals to support the journalistic and editorial work of our clients and our team is growing all the time.

 

Looking to expand our team, we are in search for an experienced, passionate and creative Social Media Manager.

 

Details about the position: The Social Media Manager will administer our social media accounts to promote our news items and bring readership and viewers for our powerful, independent reporting. They will be expected to monitor usage data, bringing statistics on news items and topics that are popular and those that fail in order to further strengthen our editorial production.

 

Responsibilities:

- design and implement creative and engaging strategies to build social media presence

- manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels

- monitor, track, analyse and report on performance on social media platforms

- research and evaluate the latest trends and techniques in order to find new and better ways of measuring social media activity

- recommend improvements to increase performance

- manage, motivate and coach junior staff such as social media executives or assistants

- manage a budget for social media activities

 

Skills needed / requirements:

- a solid understanding of the use of a range of social media platforms including YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook.

- strong copywriting and editing skills suitable for each platform, from knowing how to write a successful tweet to using effective storytelling techniques

- knowledge and understanding of algorithms and search engine optimisation

- creative skills for contributing new and innovative ideas

- strong communication and people skills for articulating ideas to colleagues and clients

- leadership qualities to lead and motivate a team

- excellent team working, collaboration and networking skills

- organisational skills, with the capacity to prioritise and work across multiple projects

- project and campaign management skills

- the ability to work well under pressure in order to meet deadlines

- proven work experience as a Social media manager

- fluency in English

- journalistic experience or knowledge of multiple languages is a plus
