Duties and Responsibilities

• Protect the organization's critical assets against any kind of cyber threat;

• Be a first-responder for security-related incidents;

• Identify threats and vulnerabilities and present findings within a standard risk management framework;

• Monitor system logs, SIEM tools and network traffic for unusual or suspicious activity ;

• Ensure early identification of intrusion & attacks and implement countermeasures;

• Review of internal and client systems network configurations;

• Coach team to write secure code, and develop/implement secure systems and processes;

• Security tools configuration;

• Maintain an understanding of the latest cyber-security threats and implement best practices for protection;

• Design a secure application release automation process to make security an integral part of the CI/CD pipelines.

• Security incident response and Proactive hunt for threats.

• Propose changes to existing policies and procedures to ensure operating efficiency and regulatory compliance;

• Actively participate in compliance audits, vulnerability reviews and assessments.

• Contribute to other areas of the information security department like Security Governance, IT security Risk Assessment as well as various security initiatives.

Job requirements

Qualifications

• Proficient in Windows and Linux system administration and command line tools;

• Experience as DevOps engineer with a focus on security;

• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols;

• Security of virtualization platforms and techniques.

• Solid understanding of security hardening;
