Laboratory Engineer
Position responsibilities and duties:

• Performing laboratory tests in order to produce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigations;
• Design, conduct and assess labs in the power electronics system area as per departmental requirements;
• Set up or operate test equipment.
• Analyzing and interpreting test data as well as preparing data reports for the production leaders and management;
• Carrying out routine tasks accurately and following strict methodologies to carry out analyses;
• Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, or repair electrical instruments or testing equipment;
• Collaborate with electrical engineers or other personnel to identify, define, or solve developmental problems;
• Maintaining and operating standard laboratory equipment;
• Keeping up to date with technical developments, especially those which can save time and improve reliability;
• Following and ensuring strict safety procedures and safety checks;
• Working according to IEC, AEC standards for capacitors. 

Required qualifications and skills: 

• Degree qualified in an Electrical Engineering; 
• Excellent inter-personal and communication skills to enable strong collaboration and coordination between the laboratory, engineering, site service teams and management;
• Strong, hands-on, testing knowledge and skills (e.g. vibration, impulse voltage, thermal, endurance, test control and data acquisition);
• Personal skills and competences: Accurate, Flexible, Honest, Independent, Organized, Responsible, Written and verbal communication, Time management (organization);
• Technical skills and competences: Lotus, MES, Microsoft office, Writing procedures, Knowledge transfer, Commercial awareness.
