DIRECTOR OF PRODUCTION (Dragomantse canning)   

 

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

  • Director of production canning is managing Dragomantse production plant in order to reach targets assigned by CEO.
  • Responsible for volume produced, quality of products delivered and optimization of plant production capacity by organizing day to day work.
  • Responsible for maintaining and developing the IFS, ISO and HACCP quality standards.
  • Managing teams and optimizing work organization.
  • In charge of work security and respect of all legal obligations.
  • Proposing investment budget, responsible for monitoring the budgets and the profitability of its factory.
  • Performing other tasks by order of CEO.

Main responsibilities will include, but not only,

 

Planning:

  • Planning production yearly, monthly, weekly, daily.
  • Planning and coordinating employees and machines use in production.
  • Planning and providing the necessary resources for the realization of the production.

 

Management:

  • Managing middle management according company’s rules.
  • Proposing continuous quality training for employees in the production department.
  • Managing and organizing Quality Manager’s activity in relation with production program and respecting rules to IFS standard.
  • Responsible for implementing actions, means and methods for safe working conditions.
  • Optimizing with QC Manager products quality level.
  • Managing and controlling shift leader planning and activity.
  • Giving weekly production planning, one week in advance at least, to Sourcing manager in order to secure sourcing and availability of all requested components. Controlling results and out of stock.

 

Production:

  • Making specification for the products and giving information for COG’s calculation.
  • Monitoring and reducing spoilage level, continuous improvement.
  • Participating in new recipes development, type of cans and norms to respect.
  • Planning need and defining training program for new employees.
  • Controlling, according the budget, supply of all components necessary for production (raw materials, packaging...) on a daily basis.
  • Developing new recipes with a view to optimizing costs.
  • Proposing improvement for factory development.

 

Quality:

  • Planning, controlling and enforcing protection against pests.
  • Monitoring changes in legislation related to food production, analyzing changes and introducing changes in production operation, informing management.
  • Coordinating official inspection and maintaining certification standards.
  • Providing necessary individual protection personnal equipment for employee’s protection at work.
  • Organizing and keeping records of sanitary inspections.
  • Monitoring with Quality Control Manager product quality (keeping the necessary documentation and samples).
  • Performing audit and certification with external auditors.
  • Controlling raw material quality prior processing.
  • Controlling plant and personal hygiene of employees in accordance to IFS regulation.

 

Reports:

  • Reporting on weekly and monthly basis production activity.
  • Reporting any modification of COG’s
  • Checking and keeping records for daily production.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Completed Visco Education - Technological Profession, Preference Food;
  • A minimum of 5 years of working experience in the same or similar position;
  • Excellent knowledge of English;
  • Excellent governance of the MS Office package;
  • Driving license B category;
  • Experience and Perceptions of ISO and HACCP.

 

REMUNERATION/ SALARY: Competitive
