- Admissions and Communications Director
JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Admissions management
- Develop and oversee a comprehensive admissions program for student admissions from inquiry to enrollment aligned with the school’s goals and objectives;
- Review and maintain admissions policies/handbook, in coordination with admissions, communications and events coordinators, to ensure alignment with school’s mission and values and recruit and retain a diverse student body;
- Serve as the administrator for admissions platforms and software tools, and responsible for recommending further improvements to the admissions process;
- Support admitted students through the enrollment process, addressing families’ questions and concerns, handing them over to division principals and counselors, and homeroom/advisory teachers;
- Review, evaluate and maintain admissions processes and data, making recommendations that enhance the admissions experience for prospective families;
- Collaborate with divisional principals/faculty to develop a deep understanding of curriculum, staffing, instruction, assessment and student support practices in support of the admissions process;
- Maintain a comprehensive waitlist of qualified candidates based on appropriate prioritization, date of application, and verifiable need considerations;
- Develop and enforce admissions policies and procedures per school policies;
- Supervise and evaluate the work of the admissions coordinators, Events Coordinator, and Communications and Development Coordinator, responsible for administering the professional growth and development policy.
School Orientations/Events
- Lead and organize group and individual new family orientations/inductions events throughout the year in conjunction with the administration (at least four group events per school year) in coordination with the Events Coordinator;
- Facilitate and coordinate school-wide events in a leading or support role as appropriate;
- Oversee the work of the Events Coordinator.
- Assist in the planning and execution of school- related events
- Liaise with the Partner- Teacher Association.
Communication and PR activities
- Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans (internal and external) to enhance the school's visibility and reputation;
- Oversee the work of the Communications and Development Coordinator;
- Collaborate with admissions, events and communications coordinators to align messaging and branding initiatives with admissions goals;
- Establish and maintain good relations with the alumni network in coordination with the Communications and Development Coordinator:
- Support operations of the NOVA Alumni Association
- Maintain and grow alumni database
- Organize alumni events (at least two per school year)
- Promote and improve the visibility of the school’s brand as the leading education institution that values academic excellence, innovation, and a supportive community for students, parents, and staff in coordination with the Communications and Development Coordinator.
- Utilize various channels, including digital platforms, social media, and traditional media, to engage with prospective families and the community.
- Oversee website maintenance, including all website and social media contents, PR campaigns
- Liaise with marketing firms in creating and implementing a unified communications strategy. Coordinate with school leadership to disseminate important information and updates to internal and external audiences
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in communication strategies.
Budget and Planning
- Plan and create the admissions, communication and events budget in coordination with the Business Manager, ensuring alignment with the school’s strategic plan:
- Monitor and maintain spending within the budget limits
- Recommend improvements and cost-effective solutions to maximize the value of allocated funds
- Follow the Growth Policy guidelines to provide regular support and supervision sessions for each team member:
- Meet weekly with admissions, communications and events coordinators
- Set weekly agenda and annual plans
Data analysis, reporting, technology and compliance
- Collect and analyze data related to admissions trends, enrollment patterns, and applicant diversity to inform strategic directions and improve enrollment and/or the admissions process;
- Prepare monthly reports for senior leadership on admissions performance and progress toward enrollment goals;
- Ensure proper development and operation of the admissions database system, including training new users, learning and proposing new functionality as needed, and extracting data;
- Oversee the maintenance and quality assurance standards of all student records in the school’s learning management and information systems (demographics, health records, residence status, and contact information);
- Ensure admissions compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including those related to privacy, confidentiality and non-discrimination.
QULIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Education, Public Relations or a related field;
- Experience in admissions managements, communications, and/or a related fields within the education sector will be considered as an advantage;
- Strong leadership skills with proven experience in leading, managing and developing teams;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with native language English fluency;
- Demonstrated ability to align strategies with organizational goals and values;
- Comprehensive understanding of admissions processes and enrollment management;
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a customer- centric approach;
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement communication plan;
- Proficiency in utilizing various communication platforms and technologies;
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross- functional teams;
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail;
- Commitment to confidentiality and ethical practices;
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with ambitious timelines, understanding different cultural nuances.
