MediaTech Support is a start-up company offering support and multimedia services to independent editorial teams working for the world's leading English-language media.

Located in Skopje, Macedonia, we already have an established relationship with our clients who are engaged in generating independent news for international publications.

We offer multimedia services and content ranging from pictures and video through to news items. We also offer related services such as IT support, statistics and graphic design.

We have a team of qualified professionals supporting the journalistic and editorial work of our clients and our team is growing all the time.

Looking to expand our team, we are searching for motivated candidates to fill in the position of:

Office assistant - Internship

 

Details about the position/responsibilities:

The person will be working with local staff, and directly with some of our global client agencies in a remote capacity.

They will be responsible for assisting the local management team and communication within the global team.

Some of the responsibilities include:

- Documents delivery/pick-up and maintaining good communication with partner/collaboration companies

- Making appointments, answering emails, travel arrangements

- Overseeing day-to-day operations within an organization

- Providing direct feedback to staff and the management team 

- Doing research on new projects/tasks

- Evaluating employee performance

- Covering existing roles when short on staff (training will be included)

- Excel population and preparing statistics for different tasks within our daily workflow

- Keep track of office supplies and purchase of same when needed

Skills needed / requirements:

- Professional level and fluency in English is essential. Knowledge of any other language is a plus.

- A keen interest in journalism is an advantage.

- To be able to prioritise, multitask, and be eager to (qickly) learn new skills/roles. Experience in picture/video editing is an advantage.

- Excellent Excel knowledge is a must, social media and IT skills are welcomed.

- Take initiatives, question issues, be a problem solver and show creativity in the tasks appointed.

- Also, an eye for detail and a critical mind, and to be able to work both independently and to cooperate on tasks with a variety of other people in our online news desk.
