JOB SUMMARY:

The technician of this position will utilize existing knowledge and experience and apply a variety of skills to maintenance, installation, service and repair to a varied range of diesel driven generating sets, diesel generator control systems, and associated equipment including turbochargers and fuel injection equipment complex electro-mechanical systems and equipment used to produce and support electrical generated power.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Proper installation and testing of electrical power generating systems.
• Ensure most economical and effective layout of electrical installations together with achieving high level of productivity in work assigned,
• Responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of the electrical power plants and support equipment.
• Performs completely overhauling diesel engines, including badly damaged and frozen engines, and restore to factory tolerances using high quality workmanship and working with high efficiency.
• Ensure spares or materials lists are compiled in good time for work assigned
• Ensure having adequate hand tools to carry out duties
• Ensure all resources allocated are safely and securely stored while in possession and ensure that returned in a reasonable and appropriate timescales
• Carrying out site visits as and when requested
• Develop and maintain procedures and policies specific to food procurement
• Provide input for new project execution and compliance 
• Develop and maintain a network of external partners relevant to this section
• Maintain a strong relationship with other departments
• Ensure that corporate policies  and procedures are effectively communicated and adhered to lower staff assigned to section
• Maintain a working environment promoting and motivating diversity, team work, respect, strong work ethics and job satisfaction
• Develop and maintain proper documentation of work activites as appropriate
• Creates, reviews, edits and organizes all RFP's requests from Business Development pertaining to catering request and requirements
• Responsible for organization, review of market research pricing calculation 
• Performs Vendor backgruond check for creation of agreements and contracts
• Carry out on-call responsibilities on a rotation basis
• Capitalize on any networking opportunities to promote the Company and its services.
• Ensure that issues and risks are reported to Management to allow adequate prevention/investigation.
• Ensure that all actions are considerate and compliant with the quality standards, health and safety standards and Company standards.
• Approach situations with a responsible, tenacious and accountable attitude
• Ensure all identified problems and causes for concern are recorded are reported to the PM immediately.

Qualification:

• ​At least 5 years of experience in the respective field
• Fluent in English language
• Knowledge of German is an asset.
