Our client Philips, one of the largest consumer electronics companies in the world, is looking for a qualified and motivated candidate at the position of:  

Key Account Manager

Role Overview: The Key Account Manager develops, maintains and improves relations with a limited number of key-accounts to keep or to set Philips as preferred supplier. Initiates and coordinates all Philips efforts to the accounts in order to maximize the output of the sales group. Creates an account plan for each key-account for 3 years in which budgeted targets are translated into specific strategy and actions per account as part of the operational plan of the sales group. Creates and implements action programs for and with the key-accounts to improve the performance of Philips. Drives the performance of the functions in the key-account team to get it done. Systematically analyses and reports sales results, expectations, market, competition and trends to make proposals for improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Executes processes & policies at accounts (margin, pricing, marketing logistics)
  • Maximizes the customer P&L versus AOP / ROFO / NS per key account by implementing relevant components of Integral Customer Management at customer with corner stone the Account
  • Execution and management of the yearly business plan of price realisation
  • Strategy, Strategic Account Plan and Account investment plan (JBP)
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Execution and management of the yearly business plan of the region
  • Meet or exceed sales, volumes, and financial target
  • Combine business offerings into complete solutions selling including supporting value added services
  • Develop and maintain excellent communication links and relationship with top customers and the key decision makers in the region
  • Provide regular feedback about market development and competitive situation
  • Ensure follow up with customers with overdue accounts
  • Develop and maintain excellent communication links and relationship with top customers and the key decision makers in the region
  • Ensures Sales targets per account are set and achieved. 
  • Positions new concepts and promotional plans per customer in agreement with BMM ensuring an added value relationship with the account.
  • Ensures competition is actively benchmarked and acted upon
  • Gives structured feedback and conclusions from customers to BMM
  • Responsible for accurate and effective Account promo plans as input to SCM

Requirements:

  • University degree with more than 3 years of related experience
  • Experience in Sales in B2B or B2C environment 
  • Excellent English
  • Basic knowledge in marketing and digital, basic understanding of Finance and logistics
  • Business and financial acumen
  • Relevant industry/market know-how is an asset
  • Professional negotiations skills
  • Strong communicator - good presentation skills
  • Analytical – able to understand, interpret & leverage data
  • Organised – ability to consistently deliver on time, with quality
  • Customer relationship management
