LIDL, the international German chain of grocery stores is expanding  in Macedonia. LIDL operates around 11,200 stores worldwide and are active in 32 countries, employing more than 310,000 people globally. On behalf of our client, DEKRA is looking for:

  • Supervisor of Customs processing

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Management tasks
    • Management of employees within the meaning of corporate, managerial and behavioural principles and promotion of purposeful, professional and personal development of the employees;
    • Creating appropriate framework conditions (organizational, personal) to ensure the implementation of tasks and to achieve the goals on time, as well as in an economically profitable way;
    • Negotiating goals and delegating tasks to employees, including giving freedom of action to perform tasks;
    • Providing positive and motivating work environment and seamless, effective and efficient cooperation;
    • Responsibility for operational matters related to staff (for example, coordination of the need for personnel with the manager, recruitment, approval of labour contracts, disciplinary measures, order on the preparation of job descriptions/recommendations);
    • Provision of internal rules and standards compliance;
    • Identifying potentials through standardized tools and promoting potentials through individual development measures.
  • Area-specific tasks
    • Person responsible to the customs administration for the status of the authorized consigne;
    • Person responsible to the customs administration for the customs clearance on site in the company with authorized recipients;
    • Commodity declarations primarily for foodstuffs, as well as knowledge of other goods and customs tariffs, updating of data on articles;
    • Keeping his own map of the items in the Software design program;
    • Filling the statutory forms and submitting them to the competent customs office;
    • Preparation of the entire documentation for customs clearance of the goods;
    • Preparation of accounting documents;
    • Preparation and submission of weekly additional declarations for authorized recipients;
    • Exchange of information with the competent customs office through the NCST system;
    • Preparation and updating of the inventory of the goods in a simplified declaratory procedure at the authorized recipient;
    • Participation in the control of the consignment by the customs officer for goods under customs control;
    • Preparation of an application for customs clearance of goods outside working hours;
    • Control of additional declarations and approval of the payment of the customs invoice;
    • Control of all customs declarations issued by other forwarders and approval of the payment for the customs invoice;
    • Daily follow-up of all changes to customs procedures (for authorized recipients and for regular imports), as well as ongoing monitoring of legal changes on the imports of goods;
    • Coordination with the customs administration and the competent customs office regarding the customs clearance procedure at the company site;
    • Customs clearance in a substitute import process;
    • Communication with the procurement department in case of change of customs rates;
    • Coordination with all inspections and competent ministries regarding the implementation of the customs-clearance procedure at the company site;
    • Responsibility for carrying out the temporary import of pallets;
    • Keeping a separate account for accepted and released pallets;
    • Control of the quarantined goods, clearance of the goods and inspection of the current condition of the goods in the customs warehouse;
    • Control of the goods in a customs warehouse in the management building;
    • Submission of sanitary applications to the sanitary control bodies;
    • Submission of phytosanitary applications to the phytosanitary control bodies;
    • Transmission of samples of articles for laboratory analysis to the (phyto)sanitary control bodies;
    • Submission of customs declarations to an internal customs office;
    • If necessary, transport of the customs officer from the customs office for customs control to the Lidl Serbia warehouse;
    • If necessary, transport of the (phyto)sanitary inspector/veterinarian from the control service for official control in the Lidl Serbia warehouse;
  • If necessary, activities in the test kitchen and in the warehouse in the management building
    • Operation with the hand pallet truck;
    • Assistance in the bakery (activity in a refrigerator at up to -25°С operating mode, stacking of deep-frozen products in the refrigerator, marking of products and pallets, acceptance of deep-frozen products from the refrigerator);
    • Work with the kitchen appliances;
    • Activities in the refrigerator (stacking, marking and receiving products from the refrigerator);
    • Warehousing (control of the quantity and quality of goods, operation of the hand pallet truck, keeping a register upon goods acceptance. Carrying by hand and lifting goods and placing the goods in certain places in the warehouse in the management building.);
    • In case the holder of the reference position notices a danger to health and occupational safety/accident/occupational accident/fire risk/danger to the environment, he is obliged to immediately communicate this information to his direct supervisor or the occupational safety official;
    • The holder of the reference position performs his activities in accordance with the obligations arising from the following laws: Law on Safe and Healthy Working Conditions, Law on Fire Safety, Law on Environmental Protection, Law on Waste Management and the additional provisions arising therefrom;
    • Use and intended use of the prescribed personal protective equipment.
  • Special powers
    • Right to sign in accordance with the introduced rules/approval of payment within the current regulations regarding the persons authorized to sign;
    • In addition to the above tasks, the holder of the reference position is obliged, on the instructions of his direct supervisor, to perform certain activities that arise from the company’s needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fluent knowledge of Bulgarian Language;
  • University Degree (Economic, Trade, Law);
  • 6 years professional experience (at least 2 years managerial experience).
