We are a fast growing technology company and are establishing a new software development centre in Skopje.
Producing software products to a high level of quality is crucial to our success as a company, particularly as our products are used by healthcare organisations. The company has decided to invest significantly in an exciting new Continuous Delivery initiative to improve quality and speed to market of our products.
Role Summary:
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will work alongside the Infrastructure Team Lead to support the global infrastructure which supports the business systems, applications, and processes. This role will be technical lead on some of the Infrastructure projects reporting to the Infrastructure Lead.
Prerequisites for this role are strong technical skills, excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business.
As a senior role you will be expected to coach more junior members of the team, suggest improvements and enhancements to the Infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the group’s Technology infrastructure and services
- Identify infrastructure risks and create plans to mitigate them
- Take the lead on projects
- Proactive monitoring of all technology systems, working closely with the Service Desk
- Ensure all procedures are suitably documented and published in accordance with service standards
- Interacts with the Service Desk to help resolve IT-related 3rd line incidents and provide answers in a timely manner
- Escalate calls to internal and external support providers where necessary
- Understand the risks and implications of enhancements before presenting to CAB
- Deal with escalations from end users and the Service Desk team
Skills/Qualifications/Experience Required:
1. Technical Requirements:
- Virtualisation Technologies; Microsoft Hyper-V
- Networking (LAN, WAN)
- Windows Server 2012 and 2016
- Office 365 admin
- MS Exchange 2016
- MS Teams
- Active Directory management
- SAN Storage array experience
2. Interpersonal Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Tact and diplomacy
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Show effective use of time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Self-motivated
