We are looking for one IT Systems Administrator based in Macedonia, Windows focused.

The key purpose of the IT Systems Administrator role is to maintain & support internal IT related equipment.

Your key responsibilities

  • Act as an initial point of contact for internal IT related support requests
  • Carry out maintenance, repairs & testing for internal IT Infrastructure including Desktop PCs and Laptops, Telephones, Peripherals and Servers as necessary
  • Management of enterprise Hosted solutions and associated applications as necessary
  • Maintain and support network connectivity including switches and patching
  • Maintain the Open GI IT policy in line with required governance/compliance. Ensure that IT standards and procedures set out are understood and adhered to by all personnel
  • Maintain accurate computerised records for all calls logged
  • Respond to issues logged to appropriate SLA’s and KPI’s
  • Perform software releases and configuration changes in line with predefined procedures
  • Own logged support requests until resolved or escalated to the appropriate team
  • Maintain technical documentation used by Internal Infrastructure
  • Perform any other duties that are reasonably required from time to time
  • Be able to work flexible hours in order to provide necessary levels of support cover
  • Availability for on-call duties where required
  • Set up new starters / administer leavers on IT systems
  • Dealing with suppliers for sourcing replacement equipment, or software
  • Work with teams in the UK to provide support on IT and networking projects.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Informatics or relative experience in the industry
  • Educated to recognised national or international certificate, with a suitable subject, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent English both written and spoken


  • Background and familiarity with IT infrastructure methodologies, processes, and practices including ITSM and ITIL would be beneficial
  • Experience in handling multiple varied workloads to deadlines (desirable)
  • Knowledge and working Linux server operating system and applications skillset (MySQL, Tomcat, SSH, etc.) will be beneficial
  • Proven experience with Windows Server operating systems and products (2016, etc.)
  • Understanding of standard Microsoft application software and Active Directory, including use of remote desktop tools
  • Strong experience of Internet applications, web sites and technologies
  • Good knowledge of Office 365 administration
  • Good knowledge of automated monitoring processes and incident management tools
  • Knowledge of system administration best practices and patch management
  • Understanding of system performance metrics and trend analysis and reporting
  • Knowledge of VMware based solutions
  • Minimum one-year IT experience
  • Ability to produce quality documentation
  • Good customer handling skills
  • Knowledge of Azure an advantage
