Job Description

The User Experiences team at our company is focused on building the next-generation components of our unique Service Relationship Management platform.
We are looking for a talented Software Engineer with deep proficiency in JavaScript to build modern web applications using cutting-edge technology. You should be passionate about creating complex, well-designed UIs and excited to work as part of a team providing valuable services with a great user experience.

Key Responsibilities
 

In this role, you will be asked to….

● Help maintain and evolve our design system, built using TypeScript, React, and Styled Components

● Implement critical functionality in a suite of modern JavaScript applications

● Help develop GraphQL APIs within a backend-for-frontend architecture

● Implement user interfaces that are compatible with a broad coverage of web browsers

● Develop well-tested, high-quality code using modern testing tools

● Participate in an Agile development cycle, including discovery, specification, ticketing, and estimation.

Skills & Experience

● One of these:

○ a BS in Computer Science (or a related field) and a minimum of 2 years related experience developing web applications in a professional context, or

○ an advanced degree in Computer Science (or a related field) with related work

experience, or

○ 2+ years equivalent work experience

● Experience writing modern client-side JavaScript (ES6+)

● Experience using a frontend JavaScript framework to develop complex single-page

applications - and a desire to learn React if you don’t know it already

● Proficiency styling with CSS, with attention to cross-browser compatibility

● A desire to implement accessible web applications

● Experience using developer tooling to debug and profile JavaScript

● Bonus points if…

○ You have been involved in the implementation of a complex single-page

application and/or design system

○ You can demonstrate familiarity with React and its latest conventions

○ You have used Styled Components for React component styling

○ You have experience writing TypeScript

○ You have worked with GraphQL APIs, both consuming them and implementing them

○ You have experience developing API applications using Ruby on Rails

○ You have practical knowledge of AWS services and technologies
