Job Title : Senior Software Developer .NET C#, ASP.NET

 

We’re looking for an experienced senior software developer to join our development team. In this role, you will have a direct impact on our users by developing features to improve their day-to-day work experience and help define the technical direction for our Shopify apps. 

 As the Senior Software Developer, you will have a strong drive and desire to get things done in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment while being a thought leader across the engineering team.

 

What we Need Help With

• Experienced technical development skills to maintain and build upon our existing code base
• Balancing resources and schedules to ship features and tackle technical debt 
• Provide technical insight while collaborating closely with teams across the company
• Building well designed and easily maintainable features

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

•  Design and develop applications per requirements captured in Business Requirement Documents and requirements gathering sessions.
• Take ownership of an entire project that you design and build from scratch to finish
• Resolve problems, identify causes, and anticipate implications
• Proactively promote continuous improvements within SDLC processes and engineering practices
• Help and coach other team members to promote leading practices and technology
• Develop code as per design
• Debug issues with web applications
• Attend project discussion calls and web meetings
• Perform website testing & generate test plans & reports

 

SKILLS

•  Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Computer Science
• Demonstrated & Proven experience of 3+ years in Software Development
• You have experience working in a technical environment building software
• You have previous experience working with our technology stack or similar: C#, .NET, ASP.NET MVC, MongoDB, and Windows Azure Cloud Services. 
• Additional experience working with JavaScript, React, Redux, Node.js, HTML/CSS.
•  You have high standards when it comes to code quality, but also understand code is only valuable once it’s shipped
• Your primary concern is the experience of the end user
• You’ve worked with a variety of technical patterns and at the end of the day value simplicity, clarity and correctness above all else
• Excellent Communication Skills in English

 What We're Building

We are building a suite of marketing applications in the Shopify App Store to help merchants reach their customers through preferred messaging channels, whether it be email, Facebook Messenger, SMS, or other to encourage them take the NBA (Next Best Action!)
