Data Protection Officer

 

We are hiring a Data Protection Officer that will enhance, optimise and contribute towards successful realization of the data protection regulations of the company.

The right candidate for this position is proactive, detailed and results-oriented, in order to build a successful company, while having a positive attitude in providing exceptional services to our customers.

 

Outcomes to succeed in this role:

• Takes care of the implementation of the regulations for protection of personal data and internal acts adopted by the controller
• Develops a personal data protection strategy that is appropriate to the particular controller
• Manages the organizational unit for personal data protection - if established
• Represents the controller (internal and public) for issues in the field of personal data protection
• Takes care of informing the personal data subjects about their rights, as well as the controller about his obligations arising from the regulations for personal data protection;
• Takes care of raising the awareness of the controller for personal data protection
• Organizes and conducts trainings for the employees involved in the personal data processing operations with the controller;
• Monitors the compliance and observance of the regulations for personal data protection by the controller, through identification and evaluation of the legal requirements, their assessment and development of instructions for their fulfilment by the controller;
• Prepares the internal acts of the controller and monitors their compliance with the regulations for personal data protection;
• Monitors the implementation of technical and organizational measures to ensure security and confidentiality in the processing of personal data with the controller
• Advises and gives appropriate recommendations to the controller in order to fulfil the obligations arising from the regulations for personal data protection;
• Actively involved in all projects related to the implementation of new IT systems or the creation of new products and services, in the early stages of the project in order to design systems or products in accordance with the basic principles of personal data protection;
• Actively involved in the creation and implementation of processes involving the processing of personal data;
• Performs controls related to the observance of the regulations for personal data protection on the basis of previously defined rules for their implementation;
• Provides advice regarding the assessment of the impact of the planned processing operations on the protection of personal data and monitoring the execution of this assessment (Data Protection Impact Assessment);
• Holds regular meetings with the highest level of management / management regarding issues in the field of personal data protection;
• Cooperates and acts as a contact point for DZLP (provides support to DZLP in the implementation of legal obligations and cooperates with DZLP in order to develop and promote best practices for specific topics)
• Coordinates the communication of the controller in the procedures conducted before the Directorate for Personal Data Protection
• Makes contact with the subjects of personal data and takes care of conducting a procedure and timely response to their requests and complaints addressed to the controller, regarding issues in the field of personal data protection;
• Coordinates external communication on issues in the field of personal data protection, acting as a single point of contact and coordinates external support provided by consulting, law and other law firms.

About you:

• Previous experience in the field of data protection of at least 1 year;
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office;
• Excellent knowledge of English;
• Strong analytical skills, ability to monitor, analyse and report results and make recommendations for optimization and improvement;
• Ability to function in a dynamic environment, initiative and ability to perform multiple tasks;
• Good organization and attention to detail;
• Communication and presentation skills;
• Flexibility and team spirit
