Role Summary

Allocate Software has made a significant investment in our Business Systems to build scalable, global platforms to support the business in this exciting growth phase.

The Business Systems team plays a vital supporting role to the Allocate business.  A key focus for the role-holder is to maintain and continuously improve the underlying systems and processes to deliver an efficient, effective and scalable function.

The Senior Business Analyst role will be accountable for the following:

  • Operational day to day support and administration of the Finance systems (which include NetSuite, OpenAir, Dynamics GP (legacy system) and ReQlogic) plus LMS, HR System and Intranet
  • Management and planning of system enhancements
  • Planning and implementing M&A integration

This role is part of the Business Systems and IT team, working closely with the Business across the globe (including colleagues in the UK, Sweden and Australia offices).

The role requires an individual with strong business experience working with internal controls, processes and systems.  The role holder will be self-motivated, able to work effectively with colleagues at all levels of the business and have excellent Business Analysis capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with business managers to understand their system and reporting challenges
  • Identify any functional gaps
  • Compare with system capabilities of the toolset
  • Overall responsibility for running the business systems enhancement projects
    • Managing project resources
    • Delivering project updates to stakeholders
    • Producing test scripts to ensure all systems requirements are met

     

    • Lead user acceptance testing results

     

  • Work closely with other Business Analysts to ensure alignment of core systems

Operational Responsibilities

  • Support the Business on a day to day basis across all system processes
    • Develop a detailed understanding of all key business processes from end to end
    • Keeping up to date with the latest system developments
  • Ongoing responsibility for continuous improvement of systems and processes, including:
    • identifying new opportunities for automation and efficiency
    • ongoing review and optimisation of core business processes
  • Line management for Finance Systems Administrator and Business Systems analyst

Project Responsibilities

  • Build and manage the business systems roadmap
    • Liaise with partners and developers to keep up to date with system developments
    • Prioritise enhancements with the business
    • Publish regularly to the business
  • M&A integration – leading the integration workstreams for the planning and execution of the migration of acquired business systems and processes onto the Allocate Systems

Experience/Skills/Qualifications Required:

  • Significant Business Analysis experience
  • Ability to interpret business processes and practices
  • Able to provide advice on processes and business improvements - identifying improvement opportunities
  • Demonstrated desire and ability to adapt to and work in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Ability to demonstrate continual learning - able to learn and discover new systems
  • Desire to unpick and pull things apart - get under the skin of a system and how it functions
  • Able to carry out a gap analyses
  • Can demonstrate how a system works and can train and educate users, explaining the technical in simple terms
  • Capable of creating user acceptance testing processes and readiness checking
  • Can build sound and functioning business relationships
  • Good communicator - articulate and sound listener, can understand, and be understood, when discussing business and technical issues
  • Able to build strong plans and stick to timelines
  • Able to prioritise, identify conflicts and navigate clear steps to address
  • Willingness to travel
